“If something doesn’t work the way you expect, it’s not your fault”

The way we experience our lives and face problems is already determined by someone, right? Well, you may not be a believer, rather I won’t talk about it.

I’m talking about designs that we use every day. “Enna design da ithu” (what design is that) the feeling and frustration that most of the time we blame ourselves when we can’t complete some simple tasks. like opening the door, the term Norman’s door. Well, you may (not) have heard of that. This means you are trying to pull or push the door in the wrong direction. You could experience that at least once in your life.
The simple door opening problem can make your day very bad.

An example of Norman Door - Push or Pull ?

Ux Designs tells us that this is not your fault, it is the fault of the person who designed the door.

In most cases, human error was the direct result of poor design. The biggest takeaways of bad design are the reasons for the new inventions in the world.
There are so many examples of bad design work that are discussed in the book “The design of daily things” by Don Norman (inventor of the term “UX-User Experience”).

Once we built a bathroom in our house, we were almost done and ready to put the door. And we discussed at home, what should the door design look like? We all made our suggestion and my little nephew suggests how we placed a glass door that can be seen from both sides.
Wow, Outsiders can see everything we do in a bathroom through a beautifully designed door. Open Door might be a better option.

Design should add value to the product and we should use design that suits our needs instead of just looking good on the outside is worthless. The design is not about what it looks like from the outside. It’s about how users have had good experiences with that design.

This is where Ux designers are essential, their job is simple. They create the best user experience design for the users.
They work for users, unfortunately, the company has to pay for them.

Some products these days need to be used with special skills, right? If your users don’t know how to use your product easily, then that’s only the cause of bad design. You can’t expect everyone to have the knowledge to use a complex product like an Iron Man suit. It is the designer’s responsibility to make this user-friendly. Hopefully one day we can all become Ironman 🤖.

Redesign, discoverability, user-friendly, and user understanding are the best qualities of good design products.
The user experience designer’s role is to make sure they analyze everything on behalf of the users. whether you are a user or UX designer. It is necessary to understand good design principles. That way, you stop blaming yourself for the designer’s fault.

In this blog, I just wanted to share with you the importance of the role of UX UI designers. I hope everyone got the idea and I always welcome your suggestions. Please let me know in the comment section. Thanks in advance!
